Noor Physical Therapy accepts Medicare and has extensive experience treating Medicare patients throughout West Los Angeles and Santa Monica. We understand the needs, goals, and pace that work best for our Medicare patients — and we are committed to providing the same high-quality, one-on-one care to every patient, regardless of age or insurance.
Whether you are recovering from a joint replacement, managing chronic pain, regaining mobility after an injury, or working to stay active and independent as you age, we build a treatment plan around your specific condition, your lifestyle, and what matters most to you.
If you have Medicare and have been told you need physical therapy, we make the process as simple and straightforward as possible — from verifying your benefits to getting you scheduled quickly.

What You Need to Get Started
Getting started with Medicare physical therapy at Noor Physical Therapy is straightforward. To schedule your first appointment, you will need:
- A prescription (Rx) for physical therapy from your doctor, orthopedic surgeon, or specialist
- Your Medicare insurance card — we will verify your benefits before your first visit
- A secondary insurance card if you have a Medicare supplement (Medigap) or Medicare Advantage plan
- A photo ID
If you are unsure whether your specific Medicare plan covers physical therapy at our clinic, call us at (818) 351-6393 and we can help you check your coverage before your first visit.
Conditions We Commonly Treat
We have extensive experience treating conditions that are common among Medicare patients, including:
- Hip and knee replacement rehabilitation
- Back and neck pain
- Osteoarthritis of the hip, knee, and shoulder
- Balance and fall prevention
- Shoulder injuries and rotator cuff conditions
- Post-surgical rehabilitation
- Sciatica and nerve-related pain
- General strength and mobility decline
- Fracture rehabilitation
Whatever brought you to physical therapy, we build a plan around your specific condition and what you want to be able to do.
How Medicare Coverage Works
Medicare Part B covers outpatient physical therapy when it is medically necessary and ordered by a physician. Coverage is subject to your deductible and coinsurance, and Medicare typically covers 80% of the approved amount after your deductible is met.
If you have a Medicare supplement (Medigap) plan or a Medicare Advantage plan, your out-of-pocket costs may be reduced or eliminated depending on your specific plan. We will verify your benefits before your first appointment so you know exactly what to expect.
Medicare no longer has a hard cap on physical therapy visits per year — coverage is determined by medical necessity. As long as your treatment is helping you make progress, Medicare can continue covering your care.
Our Approach to Medicare Patients
We understand that Medicare patients often come to us with complex histories, multiple conditions, and goals that are deeply tied to maintaining independence and quality of life. We take the time to understand what’s most important to each patient — whether that’s walking without pain, getting back to gardening, keeping up with grandchildren, or recovering from a recent surgery.
Every session at Noor Physical Therapy is one-on-one with the same therapist throughout your care. You are never handed off to a technician or treated in a group setting. Dr. Brian Noor, DPT works directly with each patient from evaluation through discharge.
We move at a pace that is appropriate for your condition and your body — never rushing, always progressing toward the goals that matter most to you.
